Comments: At John D. Freeman Herbarium (AUA), Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama there is herbarium specimen of Ceanothus americanus L. collected in Rome, Floyd County, Georgia, and identified by Alvin W. Chapman (1809-1899) in 1872, or 1881, or 1891.
